Building Blocks is a critical source of funding for classroom equipment, technology, and other resources.
In past years, donations have funded items such as playground equipment, Chromebooks, classroom libraries, water fillers, and the fence along Runnymede.

Building Blocks is one of two annual fundraising campaigns for Selwyn Elementary.
How is Building Blocks different than Red Ribbon Reading?
Building Blocks funds longer-term purchases such as technology, classroom libraries, and playground equipment, with Selwyn staff and one PTA representative determining how the money is spent. Red Ribbon Reading funds the yearly PTA operating budget including items such as field trips and events like the school dance.
When are contributions due?
The 2019 campaign runs February 1 to February 28, allowing us to set our budget for the following year, though contributions are welcome at any time.
How much should I give?
Any amount is appreciated and every dollar counts! In past years, we have raised as much as $120,000.
