Building Blocks

Building Blocks is a critical source of funding  for long term improvements to our school. Just as the name suggests, Building Blocks helps strengthen our foundational needs by providing additional dollars in much needed areas.

Giving to Building Blocks each year provides donors a unique opportunity to create a lasting positive impact on our school. In prior years, these funds have been instrumental in providing our school with new investments in technology, playground equipment, classroom libraries, filtered water bottle fillers, and the campus fencing along Runnymede to name a few. These and other projects funded through Building Blocks have made (and continue to make) a tangible difference for our Selwyn students.

A committee comprised of teachers from each grade level, Selwyn School leadership, and a PTA representative meet to discuss critical projects and needs and determine how the funds are utilized each year.

Building Blocks is Selwyn’s annual capital campaign where 100% of your donations goes toward school improvements and educational resources.

Building Blocks funds longer-term improvements for the school such as technology, classroom libraries, and playground equipment.

Red Ribbon Reading funds the yearly PTA operating budget. The dollars collected through RRR allows the PTA to celebrate our students through many school and community events.

The official 2024 Building Blocks campaign will run from February 15th to March 15th. However, we welcome donations anytime, including prior to December 31, 2023 if you wish to donate early for tax purposes.

Any amount is appreciated and every dollar counts! In past years, we have raised as much as $120,000.
